Yerba santa (Eriodictyon californicum)

  The herb, Yerba santa, is reportedly a blood purifier and used to treat many lung problems such as bronchitis, colds, and asthma.

Its action as a febrefuge makes Yerba santa excellent for the treatment of fever and alleviating the symptoms of the common cold.   The tea makes an especially good mouthwash.
