Red Eyebright ( Euphrasia officinalis )

  Useful in treating eye strain, tired eyes and eye inflammation among other uses.   In Europe it has been used to treat Hay fever.

A poultice or infusion has been used to treat coughs, catarrhal conditions, Nasal congestion and other symptoms associated with the common cold.

Tea:
1 heaping tsp of fresh herb in
Boiling water, steep (covered) for 10 minutes.
Take:
1 to 2 cups per day
Decoction:
1 tsp dried herb
boiled in cup water for 5 minutes

15 to 40 drops as needed
