Horseradish (Armoracia lapathifolia)

  The medicinal properties of horseradish makes it good for Arthritis, Gout, Rheumatism and bladder ailments.

For lung problems, upper respiratory infections and cough take with honey to cut the mucous and clear the lungs.

Cautions:
  • Do not take large doses at one time.
  • Stop taking if night sweats occur
  • Stop taking if diarrhea starts

External use for Horseradish

  • rheumatism pain
  • Irritant to stimulate blood flow



Best used moist. Will keep in refrigeration for months.

Vinegar:
Cover finely grated horseradish
with vinegar. Let
stand for 10 days.
Take:
1 tsp 2 or 3 times a day.
Poultice:
Lay finely grated horseradish on a damp cloth
Apply to affected area with cloth against the skin
until a burning sensation is felt, remove.
Syrup:
Steep 1 tsp root in boiling
hot water with top covered.strain,
add sugar to make a syrup.
Take:
as needed for coughs
