Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

Ginger is well known for use as a cooking herb but it is also used as a medicinal herb for the relief of cold symptoms and sore throats. It helps greatly by sweating the toxins and fever from your system.

Chewing on the rootstock will stimulate the saliva juices and soothe a sore throat. Adding some ginger tea to herbal laxatives will make them less harsh in action. Ginger tea also helps promote menstrual flow.
