Eucalyptus (eucalyptus globulus labill)

  This aromatic herb is very good for asthma and other lung conditions such as colds and sore throats..  breathing the vapor is the usual way to break up congestion but sipping on very warm tea can bring gradual and welcome relief from an asthma attack plus it helps to stop coughs due to the common cold..

Lozenges made commercially with the oil is also very good at soothing the throat and stopping the racking cough. Common Names:

Usual Method of Prep Usual Dosage
Tea:
Use 1 tsp herb to 1 cup of water
Boil few seconds then
steep about 10 minutes.
Take:
as needed for colds and congestion.
Oil:
Best purchased
Useful for gum diseases and burns
Use on sores or wounds.
Vapor:
Boil med size pot of water
with a double handful of dried herb
. boil for a minute or two, until smell is strong..
Use:
Lean over pot carefully, with towel draped over the head, and breathe in the vapors.
