Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Dandelion is an excellent diuretic and liver support. Good body detoxifier.   It is used to remove excess water from the body in edemous conditions that may or may not be from liver problems.

The root of Dandelion affects all forms of secretion and elimination of poisons from the body.   it also makes a good tonic and stimulant.   The fresh juice is the more valuable for the bodies use but it can also be prepared as a tea from dried or roasted rootstock.

Making and drinking an infusion of the fresh root is said to be excellent in treating Gallstones, Jaundice, liver problems (other than these) and also helps with dyspepsia, constipation, fever, etc.

Dandelion is an all around helpful herb. The roasted rootstock can also be used as a coffee substitute.
