Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara)

  Coltsfoot is widely used for coughs, colds, pleurisy and many other respiratory disorders.  This herb can also be used for diarrhea

The crushed leaves can also be applied externally for many different problems, (see below),  Smoking the leaves have been of benefit to those with chronic bronchitis, dry coughs, and shortness of breath.

Usual Method of Prep Usual Dosage
Tea:
Use 1 to 3 tsp. leaves or
flowers in 1 cup water
steep for 30 min.
and strain.
Take:
drink warm as needed
Juice:
Use electric juicer
Take:
1 to 2 Tbsp 3 times a day.
Tincture:
Best purchased
Take:
1 to two tsp at a time.
