Althea (Althaea officinalis)
Althea is very good for coughs, bronchitis. The tea makes a soothing wash for irritated eyes and an excellent vaginal douche.
Externally it is effective for treating burns, carbuncles, wounds , and it is also very soothing to irritated skin.

| Usual Method of Prep |
Usual Dosage |
Cold Extract:
Use 1 ti 2 Tbsp. root or plant
with 1 cup cold water
let stand 8 hours, strain |
Take:
1 cup a day, cold or warm. |
Tea:
Use 1 tsp. flowers or leaves
steep for 5 min. |
Take:
1 cup daily |
Poultice:
Make a thick mush of grated root and honey.

Apply:
Place on wet cloth and put on affected area 3 or more times a day |
