Alpine Cranberry (Vaccinium vitis idaea)

  Due to it's effect on the bladder and the disinfecting properties, Alpine cranberry often helps stop backache caused by bladder and kidney ailments.

Using the leaves in a decoction is also good for gout and rheumatism as well as eating the delicious berries.  Alpine cranberries are very good sources of Vitamin C, they are refreshing and also helpful in curbing diarrhea.

Usual Method of Prep Usual Dosage
Tea:
1 tbsp leaves with
1 cup boiling water
Steep 8 minutes, strain
Take:
1 cup as desired.
Decoction or Cold Extract:
Use 1 tbsp. with
1/2 cup cold water
let stand 10 hours
strain.
Take:
As needed
Fresh Berries. Eat as desired
